Who: Hunter Alexander,
Melody Winters and
Zoran JenningsWhat: New beginnings
Where: The Bondi Bar, Soho, NYC
When: Monday evening
As soon as Hunter finished his 12 hour shift at Four Winds, he got in his car and drove into the City to Soho. It had been his young patient, Justin Campbell, who had mentioned Blazing Phoenix when the subject of music came up during one of their sessions. Justin's music was always a free-flowing topic. It was usually Justin's fallback when everything else was too difficult to work through. This time, Justin asked about Hunter's musical tastes, and it came up that he played guitar and piano, and that he had always had a curiosity about joining a band for a bit of fun.
That was what brought him here. Justin had connections. The mini Godfather of the New York Broadway scene, that extended out and beyond. Hunter didn't spend all that much time in the City. He mostly just went between his home in New Rochelle to Westchester for work. He used to be here a lot more when he was completing his placement at Mount Sinai. He knew this bar, at least. He just didn't have any direct knowledge of the band that played here.
It was a quiet night in the bar with only a handful of patrons. Hunter went in and looked around. It was sleek and trendy, with an Aussie twist. It was fun. Pretty cool venue to be thinking about entering the performing circuit. He asked for Zoran at the bar and was directed up the back to where the band was lingering on or around the stage.
"Hey... I'm looking for Zoran?" he asked the, well, frankly stunning girl with flaming red hair and piercing eyes. Not to mention ink. That was hot. "He told me in his text to meet him here. I think I'm a little early."
