Who: Sasha Stanford and Justin Campbell
What: Alone time
Where: Campbell place, NYC
When: Wednesday morning
Sasha found their was something incredibly peaceful about being up high with views over New York. That morning was the first he and Justin had been alone at Justin's place since they met. Justin's family were all still over from Australia, but they hadn't all been able to stay here. His grandparents had been here, but they had now gone to stay with Sam. There were others, but Sasha had lost track where they all were now. Mr Campbell needed to go to work because of a huge case that was coming up and he needed to start briefing his team. He had told Sasha he could do it via Skype if he didn't think he would be okay here with Justin on his own.
Sasha knew what he meant. He hadn't been feeling well, he was tired, and had a sore head from being decked. Justin was in the wake of a suicide attempt and surgery to repair the damage. Mr Campbell wanted to make sure Sasha wasn't overwhelmed. He wasn't. Not even close. He actually appreciated having the chance to take care of Justin on his own, and it meant a lot to him that Justin's dad was entrusting him with that. Mr Campbell went over all of Justin's medications, what he needed, and when. There was a little laminated chart on the fridge with the picture of each pill in case he forgot. He left out enough pills for the day's doses. There was also a list of emergency numbers if anything went wrong.
He hoped it didn't. He didn't actually think he would need to do much at all, because Justin had been sleeping so much. He hadn't even been eating, and Mr Campbell said it was okay. A few days wouldn't hurt him so long as he stayed hydrated. Sasha was seated at the large bay window in the living room that had cosy seating around the edge. He had brought his tablet and a book, but he got distracted just gazing out at the views of the city, head resting against the glass. He had never had an issue with heights. There weren't any sort of irrational fear the glass would break and he would be sucked out. He was comfortable and warm with a blanket wrapped around his legs, lost in thought.
Then a noise behind him knocked him out of his daydream and he turned, finding Justin coming into the living room. He actually looked refreshed, damp hair brushed back and pyjamas gone, some comfy clothes in their place. He pushed the blanket back and stood. "Hey... you look like you're feeling a little better?"
