"It's just a little crush..."
Oct. 5th, 2014 01:23 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Who: Caden Drake and Casper Price
What: "It's raising my adrenaline."
Where: Caden's apartment
When: Friday evening
Caden had a lot of work he needed to see to in the lead up to actually getting Justin and co back on the stage rehearsing. He had a fuck load of auditions he needed to oversee, paperwork and contracts to be ironed out with the new clauses inserted into them, reworking of some of the music with Brendan, and PR. A massive pile of PR because the show already had so much more exposure and it was going to hit Broadway with a bang.
He had given the first exclusive PR access rights to Gen for print and Casper for TV. Gen went without saying. She was his mother and she was bursting with pride for him, so she wanted to celebrate that in her magazine. Of course she did, and it was perfect, because it meant she could do a whole fashion photoshoot and spread with Justin, promoting Footloose at the same time. Casper had been set to interview Justin for his show about opening night the day after he had fallen so sick, and it never came to fruition. Justin had a ball on his last brief encounter on Casper's show where he had performed one of the songs from the musical on the show with Autumn. It was targeted at the young audience, and that was where Caden was hoping to capture now they had a taste for Justin and his talents.
( But after everything, and Justin wanting to go public about his condition and that he had exited the production because of it, PR was an intricate web to weave around him... )

Unexpected
It was a rainy, miserable day, and Nathan was trying not to take it as some sort of sign. He had worked a short shift at the hospital that morning, and now he was standing on the steps out the front of City Hall, huddled with Tyler by one of the large pylons. The fact that Tyler was even here again with him was unexpected. He never, for a moment, expected this would be an appointment they kept.
He was fussing, brushing the droplets of water softly off Tyler’s sleeves and pulling his coat tighter around him so he didn’t get a chill now the weather was cooling. “Are you sure about this, sweetheart? I think we should at least have Germ here– ”
“No,” Tyler cut him off with a shake of his head and looked to Nathan with a frown. “I don’t want anyone here. I’ll tell him after.”
Nathan’s eyes swept over Tyler’s face, a small, troubled frown on his own. He knew why. This was merely just trying to put one tiny thing right out of all the horrific things that went wrong. But Tyler needed it to not be remotely like it was back then; a big flashy white wedding poised to happen. He couldn’t let even the tiniest facet of this tempt fate for history to repeat itself. In his pocket, his hand was closed around a velvet ring box housing two identical wedding rings that he had kept in his drawer for many months.
He looked up at the dreary, drizzling sky, such a distinct contrast to the perfect weather that had been predicted for their planned wedding back then. This was not how he ever imagined it. But after everything that had happened, nothing in their life ever would be anymore.

Who: Casper Price and Caden Drake
What: "And even as I wander, I keep seeing you in sight..."
Where: Caden's apartment
When: After THIS
By now, it was late. It was late and pissing down rain, so generally not a good equation, let alone to chase up such a massive fuck-up. After being walked in on by Caden's nephew (who was only 2 years younger than Casper), Casper had freaked out and left. Caden had tried to talk with him, get him to stay so they could talk, but Casper just pissed off as quickly and as hastily as he could manage. He was embarrassed and Casper never got embarrassed about anything, especially sex-related. What the fuck was this happening to him?
He went home. He paced around his huge loft apartment and downed a few shots of vodka just because it was in easy reach. He was frustrated he and Caden never got to finish, but more to the fact, he was pissed off at himself because it hadn't been enough to get Caden out of his system. If anything, it only added fuel to his crush fire and now he didn't know what to do. He didn't even know what he wanted. He had wanted to fuck Caden to get it out of his system, and now he had, his stomach was hurting and he was even sure that a little piece of him felt like crying.
In the end, he knew he couldn't just run away like a pansy. He was going to have to face Caden at some point and, if only for Justin's sake, he couldn't leave things awkward. So, he went back. They lived only a few blocks from each other so he decided to walk it. Only, it was pissing down rain and he had been too distracted to think about getting a coat or an umbrella, so he had run the few blocks. By the time he got to Caden's apartment block, he was drenched and just to make matters worse, in his rush to get up the stairs, he slipped on them because his shoes were went and landed heavily, grazing his hands and hurting his wrist.
And that was exactly how Caden found him. Of all Casper's luck, he was still sprawled on the steps like roadkill being rained on when Caden exited the apartment block entrance. Casper just hung his head with a miserable, "Fuck."

Sick, sick boy asleep with his head on my shoulder. I hate that he's sick, but I love being his mom when he is and getting to help him. ♥
