Who? Beau Watson and Austin Shaw
What?
If you want my future, you've gotta take my past
When? Early evening
Where? Austin's room

The twin time earlier in the day had been very much needed, and Austin was thrilled to get to spend time with Angel. It really had felt lately like the communication between them was breaking down, and they'd needed that time together to regroup. Their lives were changing, and quickly. Austin would be getting married soon, and Angel had asked Rosie to move in. It was all happening quickly, but both brothers knew without a doubt that this was what they really and truly wanted. However, the last thing either of them wanted was to grow apart in growing closer to their respective other halves, so that was something they weren't going to do if they could help it.

But after the twin time, Austin had been really tired, and come back to his room to rest for a while... and ended up passed out until Beau got home. The snot and the feeling crappy parts were mostly gone, but Austin still tired out pretty easily from the flu he and Beau had both had. Still, when his man came home, Austin woke up and perked right up to see him. "Hey, honey," he murmured, his voice still mumbly with sleep. "Did you have a good time?"

I hate slow days... Because they always mean that something big's coming, and it's never something big and good.

Woke up feeling a whole lot better. Still not allowed to go back to work until Monday, though. If anyone wants to grab a coffee over the weekend, just give me a shout. I mean, assuming I'm let out to play... ;)

Who: Mark Campbell and Justin Carlisle
What: Like father, like son
Where: Campbell/Hart/Carlisle apartment, NYC
When: Night following THIS

As soon as Mark heard that 'Dad' word break through his sleep, he was awake and fumbling for the light. He was aware that Gen was out like a light next to him and that they were both naked, so there was some pretty tricky multi-tasking when he made sure the covers were over them both when he turned the lamp on the lowest setting. He was squinting against the light, trying to get his brain to wake up fro what had been a pretty sound sleep for once. Justin was standing there in the doorway of his bedroom in his pyjamas. "What's up, mate? You okay?" he asked in concern. He had no idea why Justin would be looking for him at... 2.33am, according to his alarm clock. Especially considering he had a friend staying over with him that night too. Had they had a fight or something? Jesus, Mark wasn't used to this sort of thing. Jamie wasn't old enough for sleepovers and the little girl slept like a log.

"My stomach hurts," Justin admitted in a mumble. Things with Will had actually been pretty cool. He still wasn't exactly sure how they went from Justin being irked to see him in Central Park and wanting to kick Toby's ass, but they had talked. Really talked, and neither of them had really wanted it to end. But the couple of hours time frame his dad had given him to come home arrived and Justin didn't want him to think he was out causing more shit. That was when he had invited Will over, initially suggesting dinner but kicking up the level to sleeping over. Neither were certain of anything beyond the fact they weren't pissed off at each other anymore, and that whether Justin was ready to admit it, he really wanted to kiss Will again.

They had stayed up really late, but eventually fell asleep together in Justin's bed... )

Who? Mark Campbell and Gen Hart
What? Becoming a real family?
When? After Justin's doctors appointment, much later that night
Where? The Campbell/Hart/Carlisle abode

It had been perhaps one of the busiest days in recent memory for Gen at work. With Michael on strict orders from Paris to stay home and rest until he felt better... and not to dare set foot in his office until earlier than Monday... things weren't running as smoothly as usual. Even less so since Gen had sacked her own PA when the truth came out that said PA had tried her damnedest to get into Michael's pants, which was way off the list of things that were okay in the workplace... at least when they weren't wanted. So it had been a couple of hours after Mark called that she even got his message. At first, the beginning of the message had actually scared her, and it was only Mark's reassurance halfway through that calmed her, if only slightly. Her next response had been to be worried as could be about Justin. And then there was the end of the message. The end of the message with three words that Gen hadn't expected at all, and she'd actually replayed it three (okay maybe more like six or seven) times to be 100% sure that she wasn't hearing things or off her rocker, but there it was... just like clockwork every time. I love you. And right there on top of worrying herself sick over Justin's doctor's appointment was the realization that, in this whole thing, Mark loved her, and the reason he wanted to talk to her about this whole thing was because, very simply, he needed the person he loved to be there for him through this. Gen didn't take that lightly at all, and after the call, she was working twice as hard to get things done so she could head home to her family.

She managed to finish her work up a bit earlier than planned, which still meant she wasn't even leaving the office until well after dark, and still with a folder full of paperwork to check out tonight and over the weekend, but if taking work home with her got her home sooner, she'd take it for now. The folder safe in her briefcase, Gen left the office, for once actually having stayed later than Paris, even, and headed for home.

The drive to Mark's place had never seemed so long, and by the time she'd finally gotten into the apartment building, she was sure it had taken her three hours to get home -- not that it really had, but she tended toward exaggeration when she was frustrated. It was a moment of intense relief when she reached the apartment door and her key turned to open it. She quickly hung up her coat and her handbag before heading to the living room, where she found Mark, sitting in silence on the sofa and watching the door to Justin's room. "Babe?" she said softly, walking over to him and sitting in the spot next to him. "Are you okay? How's Justin?"
