Who: Reecy Chester and
Jude WillisWhat: "C'mon, babe, why don't we paint the town?"
Where: Broadway, NYC
When: After
THISSoul-searching was one thing Reecy could say she had been doing these last few days, but not really. She actually knew her soul quite intimately, and had always trusted it and her heart. Sure, she had fucked up a lot along the way, but it had been - unsurprisingly - Justin who had finally swayed her. Two nights ago, after the show, after the encore, when everyone was still on the high, he had come straight off the stage, grabbed her by the shoulders and told her to, "Just do it, sis."
She had nearly fallen over because Autumn had been the
only one who she had told. But Autumn had been right there and looked just as shocked at what Justin was saying. She hadn't had a chance to actually interrogate the little pain in the ass at that point, though. He got swallowed up by his PR team to go off and do a post-show interview and everyone knew that you
never interrupted Justin's planned PR or Aiden would tear you a new one. No one wanted to be torn a new one by any PR rep who could make or break your career. Justin had such a tiny window to do media so he didn't go over his allowable work hours, so his schedule was always planned with incredible precision.
Later that night, she got him by text and he had told her that he just knew. He knew his uncle was having twin with Lisa, and he had heard that the part of Velma Kelly would be very soon scouted for. They weren't taking auditions because it was such a prized role. It was then that she learned it had been Justin who had told Lisa that Reecy would be perfect for the part of Velma. All through this, with Reecy having been anxious and nervous about leaving
Footloose for how it would affect Justin, he had orchestrated the whole thing. It was always the way with that kid. He was forever taking them by surprise.
The last day and a half, she had signed on the dotted line and gone through
one hell of a makeover. Yesterday, she spent time with Lisa, who asked her if she liked
Chicago. Was she fucking crazy? It was one of Reecy's favourites, without a doubt. And it was exactly why, now, once Jude had come into the theatre and walked up the middle aisle calling her name, she was
stepping out in-character to be thrown into the deep end to perform
All That Jazz for Lisa and the production team of
Chicago, who were sitting in the front row to the left hand side... with Justin, of course.
Rather than telling Jude about the offer she received or the choice she had made, she decided to bring him here to show him. Though, of course, like any normal person, she was nervous as fuck he wouldn't like her new look. She might have to bribe him with her part in Cell Block Tango once she learned it...
