When your kid sends you a video of him doing the Risky Business underpants and socks dance to cheer you up, and when you ask him if he's feeling okay, you just get a 'Dad, don't be basic'.

Who: Billy Willis and Justin Campbell
What: Heart-to-Heart
Where: Billy, Ajay and Jude's place
When: Sunday night

When Justin had called Billy in tears begging him for help, of course Billy was going to go running. Well, to be accurate, he and Jude both went running... sort of. Billy couldn't run anywhere still recovering from chemo, and he wasn't allowed to go back to driving yet either. They owned a car together, so when Jude had seen how freaked out and panicked Billy was needing to get to Justin, and ASAP, he played chauffeur so Billy could go pick Justin up from the hospital and bring him back to their apartment. Jude then, realising this was intense Serious Business and not wanting to spook Justin out of accepting Billy's help, had left to go to Lorenzo's.

Ajay was still there, but Justin seemed to talk to both of them. Not all that much initially. At first, he was just sobbing his heart out, exactly like he had been doing sitting in the gutter out just up from the hospital when they picked him up. Ajay made them all tea, and Billy just sat as close to Justin as he could be without touching him and let him cry for as long as he needed to. He began to calm down but was visibly drained and pale. He started to talk then, admitting he felt stupid for getting in such a mess again and feeling those bad things. He never said at that point why he called Billy out of everyone else, soon he just seemed too tired to say much and ended up falling asleep sitting in an awkward position on the sofa.

The hours ticked by into the evening and began to get late. Justin slept, and at one point, Billy had unlaced his shiny rainbow Converse and coaxed him into a lying position on the sofa to cover him with a blanket. They kept the lights turned down to dim and the TV volume only just audible. When bedtime came, Billy admitted to Ajay that he didn't want to leave Justin to go to bed, so Ajay suggested they stay in the living room with him and sleep on the sofa bed. The living room was a generous size with two sofas, and one happened to be a sofa bed. They pulled it out, and that was exactly what they did.

Billy woke in the very early hours of the morning to the sound of the toilet flushing up the hall. In a panic once Justin fell asleep, Billy had scoured the bathroom to make sure there were no razors, scissors, sharp things or pills in there. You just never knew. Justin came back from the bathroom and hovered in the doorway, like he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. "I hope you're not planning on escaping at this hour, buddy," Billy said to him softly. He carefully got up from where Ajay was asleep beside him and moved to the other sofa to sit. "Come sit with me. We don't have to talk, we can just keep each other company."
