What: Vital apologies
Where: Billy & Jude's place
When: Day after Ajay's discharged from hospital
It was a little bit of a struggle for Jesse to ride the elevator up to the fourth floor without vomiting. His head was still feeling like it was jam-packed with cotton wool and there was the general all-over exhaustion still there. But he needed to make this small trip. Once he heard the patient was staying not too far away, Jesse wanted to drop in on him to just apologise for the whole fit at his bedside thing.
Of course, Jace, Evan, Christian and Nana Turner all objected to him moving any further from bed than the bathroom. Jace even got so emphatic that his voice rose to almost falsetto levels, but Jesse promised he would be okay. It was only a couple of blocks and the guy was recuperating, so he was hardly going to have red carpets rolled out to play perfect party host. Jesse just wanted to apologise, because he knew how confronting witnessing his seizures was and the poor guy was in an emotionally taxed state. Plus, he was staying with Jude and Jesse worked with Jude on the regular. In fact, Jude had asked him if he could be his mentor when he started his own Nursing degree, and Jesse had happily agreed.
So, here he was, getting out of the elevator with Jace holding him up around the waste and finding himself leaning over a trash can feeling very much like he was about to throw up. Luckily, it passed before it eventuated and he gave a little nod to Jace to let him know he was okay. "Don't worry, baby, I'll go right back to bed when we get home. Just... humour me?" he pleaded to Jace quietly and earned a hint of a bitch glare, but it was followed up by a mumble of agreement and an understanding kiss.
Jace was going to hang with Billy and Jude while Jesse went to see Ajay, who was apparently laid up in bed that evening. Billy pulled Jesse aside before he went to see Ajay and asked him if he should be worried that Ajay didn't get out of bed. Jesse reassured him that it was a take each day thing, and someone in Ajay's shoes in the wake of a trauma could take a long time to remember how to face the world again. Now Jesse was knocking softly on the door to Billy's bedroom where Ajay was staying and there was a soft 'It's okay, it's open' response. Jesse opened the door, holding himself up on the frame. "Hey, I was wondering if you would mind a quick visit?"

Oct. 26th, 2014 08:18 pmangelwithoutwingsSo, so many emails and texts and Facebook messages. You guys rock, you really do. We're keeping them all to show Beau when he's feeling a little better. For now, he's still ill, very weak and mostly just sleeping because his body's been to hell and back. Austin's with him, but he loves you all for the wonderful thoughts.
