Who: Will Jackson and Zeke Wyatt
What: Checking in
Where: Oncology Unit, Mount Sinai
When: After this and this
Will didn’t need to think twice about Beau’s advice. Sure, he was nervous and worried Zeke might get pissed off for not leaving him to be alone when he requested it, but he also knew Beau wouldn’t piss in his pocket about this. Or anything. Beau had a wicked sense of humour and could joke about just about anything, especially to get through hard times, but it felt like he was telling him to go see Zeke because Zeke needed it.
When he arrived at the Oncology Unit where Zeke had chemo, Zeke wasn’t doing well. He was being violently sick and Zander was sitting beside him holding a damp cloth to his forehead and rubbing his back. Zeke was sitting hunched forward in the recliner chair and looked like it was taking every ounce of energy in him to maintain throwing up. There was the briefest of pauses - enough for him to glance up and see Will was there - before his body dragged him right back into pained retches. He was pale and sweaty, his hair wet with beads of perspiration dripping down his temples.
( He didn’t want to hover like a bad smell and make it all awkward, so he just pulled up a spare chair he found out in the corridor and sat down on Zeke’s other side... )
