Who: Sasha Stanford with Justin and the Campbell Family Clan, Aussie Chapter
What: Christmas Spirit
Where: Justin's Grandparents' home, Sydney, Australia
When: Sunday night
“DADDY! THEY SAID HIS NAME! THEY SAID HE’S COMING NEXT! HE’S BEATING SANTA CLAUS! I SAW HIS NAME! I SAW HIS NAME!” Sunshine, dressed as a Christmas angel complete with wings, halo and wand, ran squealing out of the living room trying to find where Mark had disappeared to.
Even though Justin’s grandparents’ living room was spacious and roomy, it was full of close and extended Campbell family members, along with neighbours and long-time family friends that night. Sasha was in one of the armchairs with Dory in his lap nibbling on chunks of frozen pineapple he was feeding her, one of her favourite treats in the hot weather. Amarlie was perched on the armrest beside him stroking Dory’s ears under the little Santa had she was wearing that matched her ‘Santa’s Little Helper’ sparkling coat Jamie dressed her in especially to watch the Christmas concert.
It was only that morning Sasha even found out about the concert. The whole thing had been kept completely hushed and apparently for quite a few months. It was the biggest Christmas concert Australia hosted every year, televised Christmas Carols in a sprawling park on the outskirts of Sydney where multiple celebrities would sing carols by candlelight. Audience members would all have candles and sing along. And apparently, all through their stay in Sydney, Justin’s name had been featuring as the biggest international headlining star for the concert on TV adverts, none of which they had seen because they hadn’t really watched much television on their trip.
( Justin had requested it be kept quiet from the family so they didn’t go overboard with the excitement and get up in his face too much about it. Which family sometimes accidentally did, especially when there were a lot of them in Sydney this time, converged for the Aussie family Christmas in the wake of Mark and Gen’s wedding... )
