"He's my brother..."

Who? Owen and Quentin Lawrence
What? A little brotherly love
When? Sunday evening
Where? Quentin and Kevin's place
Owen had been determined to keep in touch with his older brother after his initial contact here, and though Quentin had tried to get him to go home, avoiding trouble with their parents, Owen wasn't the sort of kid to just step away when he'd got his head and heart set on something. He had added Quentin on Facebook and stayed in touch, though his brother was cautious, and he'd told his parents flat out that Quentin hadn't done anything wrong, even the law said it now, and that he wasn't going to disown his big brother just because they did.
Today, he needed his big brother more than ever. He needed Quentin to help him make sense of things. That was what big brothers were supposed to do in life, and for the last several years, Owen had missed out on that largely. He was determined not to miss out anymore. Especially not now that he had an adorable nephew that he wanted to get to know, too. He showed up at Quentin's house after having texted him earlier, and was carrying with him a gift bag with presents for Tanner. It was uncle prerogative to spoil nephews, right?
