Justin didn't think he would win this year. It had still upset him that he couldn't go to the Tony Awards because the Footloose cast were doing a performance as one of the showcases. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't do it. He was still too ill and in pain. Jeff was going to be doing it, which was fine. They shouldn't lose the honour of a Tony showcase just because of him, but something inside him had been all choked up thinking about it. He wasn't well enough to process the loss.
Around lunchtime on Sunday, just at the end of the family sessions, his dad had come to his room and brought Caden with him. Justin had been wiped out from the session and ready to crawl into his bed and sleep. He didn't expect a change of events like this. What happened was that he did win. He won Best Lead Actor in a Musical, and the Isabelle Stevenson Awards, awarded to 'an individual from the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organisations, regardless of whether such organisations relate to the theatre.' Caden's visit to him early that day turned out to be a game-changer.

I promise he'll get them all, but he doesn't have his phone or any other electronic devices with him at the moment, folks. He's progressing well with his treatment, and he'll be back to us as soon as he's able.
Just know, last night wasn't because he didn't want to see anyone or talk to anyone, he just simply wasn't up to being on his feet for too long or being around crowds. He knows you were all there for him, and it means the world to him.
