Who: Callum MacDonald and Jesse Hartley (and other family members welcome to crash if they like)
What: Sibling support
Where: Neurology Critical Care Unit, Mount Sinai
When: Sunday evening
It was Finals time, and Callum's last year studying at Harvard. It had been a long and hard course to have gotten through, and it was hard to believe his college days were nearly over. Possibly the most awesome thing was that he had already scored a job. With Ethan pulling some strings via Richie, Adrian Hewitt, big time Movie Producer and Richie's boyfriend, had contacted him and offered him an internship on the movie he was currently filming mostly in New York, but also on location elsewhere. It was a huge project, and Adrian said as soon as Callum graduated and was qualified, he would give him a paying job. It was fucking incredible. His classmates had been jealous as all fuck. Many of them would struggle for years even to get their food in the door like Callum had, and he didn't even have to do anything.
It meant Callum was spending more time in New York, where he would permanently move once Finals were over. But no matter how crazy things were right now, Callum made the time to come see his half-brother in hospital as soon as he could. That Sunday night, he specifically left free to get to see Jesse. Even though Jesse wasn't her biological son, their mom had been coming to see Jesse frequently and she had been keeping Callum updated, as had Ethan, who was one of Jesse's doctors. Jesse had been fine with any of his family getting medical updates on both him and Jace. Jesse might technically have come through his bad seizure okay, that didn't mean he was feeling okay.
Callum arrived with some hot chocolate and found Jesse napping in a recliner chair beside Jace's hospital bed. Not quite understanding the ins and outs of this whole thing (he was new to the scenario, not having knowing Jesse even existed until very recently), he saw Jace was awake and assumed that meant something. "Oh, shit - Jess, wake up, dude! He's awake, look!" he said quickly, putting the hot chocolate down to give Jesse's arm a small shake to rouse him.

Who? Emily Cole, Angela Ashwood, and Clint Chevalier
What? Questions you never thought you'd be asking
When? Monday night
Where? Clint and Lincoln's place
If there was one thing for sure about life, it was that it was ever-changing. A few months ago, the last thing Emily would've been thinking about at all would've been having a baby and asking Clint to donate the sperm. But at that same point, she would never have dreamed of Angela taking her back or giving any of this a chance to develop after how it had ended the first time around. Time could change things, sometimes so quickly that Emily couldn't believe it, and after spending a lot of time together over the last few weeks since the birth of Elliott, Emily and Ange had finally decided that they wanted to move forward... together... and have a baby.
It was a huge thing, and maybe they'd skipped too many steps in the process to suit some folk, but it wasn't really anyone else's business. Emily would be the one to carry the baby, giving Ange's body the time to heal and repair from what it had gone through bringing Elliott into the world, and they would go through all of this together. There was no doubt that it was all a huge thing. But it was a huge thing she wanted to share with this woman that she loved.
That was what brought them here to Clint and Linc's place today. Linc was resting, as per usual, but the three of them were in the living room, sipping sodas on the couch and comfy chair. Emily was about to speak, and then she was looking at Ange, totally blanking on how the actual fuck one would even begin this conversation.
