When Liz stood at the door of her parents' house for the first time since Blake had been born, there was the overwhelming feeling of worry. She knew her parents knew that she had a baby. They'd secretly been hoping that she and Lewis had gotten married on the hush and it was their baby, especially since they'd learned that he was in New York now. But Blake was far from that. He was every bit the result of a one night stand, the night that Liz lost her virginity, far older than most people were when they got to that point. He was the result of a pregnancy she hadn't known about until days before Blake was born. She had barely put on any weight at all, and she didn't look pregnant. And then all of a sudden, here was this tiny boy who she and Cameron were responsible for, and she still wasn't sure she knew what she was doing.

Paris was taking a couple of much-needed days off from work to relax. Of course, that meant his PA and fiancé were having the days off with him. But Michael wasn't a morning person and he liked to sleep in on his days off. Paris left him to it while he went for a jog in Central Park and hit the sauna for a little while. They also still had Marty staying with them, but he was even less of a morning person than Mikey was. Probably all those crack of dawn starts in the military that he wanted no part of while he was on leave.

It was while he was on his way home from the spa that Paris received a text from Gen telling him that she wanted to catch up with him on his day off so they could talk. He knew she had been trying to talk to him about something for a little while now, but things had just been stressful. Plus, he knew his sister and he suspected that even if there was something she wanted to talk to him about, she could well be procrastinating about it for some reason. He knew when she procrastinated.

Now he was in the kitchen making them espresso with his top of the range machine and watching her over the top of it. "I already said you get to be my Maid of Honour, so I know that's not what this is about," he finally said to break the ice.
