Who: Ajay Bellerose and Billy Willis
What: Tough times ahead
Where: Surgical Unit, Mount Sinai
When: Friday night

Ajay had lost track of time. He didn't know how long he had sat there holding Billy while he cried his eyes out. It was a long time. Ajay had cried with him on and off, but he was proud of himself for being able to pull it together a little to just be there for Billy. That's all Billy said he wanted right now. The results of the biopsies had come back and confirmed that the lump had been cancerous, and there were cancer cells in his lymph nodes but only in two areas and small spread. He was classified Stage IIA, which meant they got it early but he would need chemo and radiation to combat the lingering cells of the spread.

Billy had honestly taken the news like a trooper. He held it together, even admitted to Tara, his Oncologist, that he expected it and that it was a weird kind of relief that he chose to have the bigger surgery all in one go. But it was hearing he needed chemo and radiation where he lost it. It was just that bit too much to shoulder and he broke down, begging Ajay to stay there with him. Ajay didn't take any offence to the request. You did and said a lot of things when trauma was coming at you from all angles. It wasn't that Billy expected Ajay not to be there, it was just a plea for what he needed.

The crying was easing off now. Ajay was relieved, if only because Billy had been crying so badly at one point that he'd made himself sick with it. He needed to cry it out. Sometimes, crying it out was all you could do. Ajay left the room just briefly to get dampen some paper towels in the adjoining en suite bathroom and brought them back to softly press them to Billy's face, trying to soothe the flushing he had there, the swollen eyes, the sore nose from wiping it with tissues. "Do you want me to call Jude? Do you want to tell him yourself? I can do it if you're not up to him but you want him to know," he murmured, sitting back down and holding one of the cool towels to Billy's cheek.

Who: Lorenzo Chevalier, Lewis Sheldon and Clint Chevalier
What: Meet the Fockers family
Where: Broadway, NYC
When: Friday evening

Jude had offered to sit Holly for Lorenzo so Clint could meet Lewis. As far as Lorenzo was concerned, it was a pretty massive thing because Clint was very out-there. He was loud, often obnoxiously so, and he was very full-on. Lorenzo was nervous how Lewis and Clint would get on, and he didn't want to be an asshole in trying to hold off the meeting. He wanted it all above board because he really did have a lot of feelings for Lewis by this point. They had their first official date the night before which consisted of ordering in takeout (sans lactose, as Lorenzo learned then that Lewis had a pretty severe allergy there), watching The Full Monty, and then having a lot of sex at Lewis' apartment. They had quite a few rounds and then fell asleep spooned up together. Lorenzo crashed and crashed hard.

In the morning, there were some morning snuggles and more cuddling in the kitchen while Lorenzo cooked them breakfast. That was when Lorenzo admitted his brash cousin was back in town and, as colourful as Clint could be, Lorenzo wanted Lewis to meet him. Lewis was fine about in. In fact, he was a pure sweetheart, like he always was. He told Lorenzo to bring Clint by the theatre that night if he wanted to. He would be busy, but he could multitask. He wasn't the only makeup artist who worked on the production, he was just the senior of the team and did all the main stars each night.

So, here they were. Lorenzo was nervous and excited about seeing Lewis doing his job (and Clint under strict orders to behave himself and not be a dicksplash). It fascinated him and this whole backstage Broadway thing was awesome. There was a fuck load of activity buzzing around and when Lorenzo and Clint were lead backstage by one of the production assistants to where Lewis was working, Clint was blatantly perving on all the actors. They passed Justin rehearsing with the understudy who was filling in for Billy. Lorenzo was probably biased, but Billy sounded so much better. Then they came to the room Lewis was in and he was working on Reecy while she talked on her cell phone to someone.

She gave them a wave and smile, and Lorenzo waved back before moving over to Lewis. "Hey, babe," he greeted him and stepped up for a hello kiss. "Lewis, this is Clint, my cousin. Clint, this is Lewis. I brought you brownies and hot chocolate. Organic and lactose-free," he said proudly, holding up a little bag from the cafe they stopped in, with a hot chocolate made on coconut milk and lactose-free chocolate syrup.

I tried calling you, but it went to voicemail. I know you've got Lorenzo's little girl, so you guys are probably sleeping. Billy got his results. I know this is all probably better in person, but sooner is better than later. It's cancer. Stage IIA. He's going to need a couple of rounds of chemo and radiation. He's doing the best he can, just trying to process it all. He knows you're sitting, and said he'll see you when you can come in.
