When: Saturday morning
Billy had been awake really early that morning. Besides the fact he was freezing and the heating wasn't up high enough, Ajay had been coughing throughout the night so he hadn't been in a deep sleep anyway when his bladder decided to remind him he was human. Lucky, too, because Ajay had thrown all his covers off when he must have overheated with the fever and he was now curled up in a little ball in his sleep shivering. Billy pulled the blankets back up over his boyfriend and tucked them all in before grabbing his bathrobe and slippers so he could take a trip to the bathroom. By then, he had woken up so he put the kettle on to make a cup of tea to warm up, having a text conversation with Reecy while he did.
It wasn't long before Ajay was coughing again. It was one of those congested-barking sort of coughs too so Billy hunted down the Vaporub and made a Ajay a warm drink of honey and lemon tea. Only half a mug full, though. Ajay wouldn't have much. Billy had discovered that Ajay seemed to have this sort of gag reflex where he could make himself sick just at the thought of food when he wasn't feeling well. It had to have stemmed from all the years as a bulimic, but it meant Billy had to take that little extra care of him still. Stemming from it or not, Ajay couldn't control it. It was as simple as that.
Billy took the Vaporub and tea to their room, setting both on the bedside table. He shed the robe and slippers to get back into bed where Ajay seemed to have woken himself up coughing, though he was still mostly asleep. "Can you sit up a little for me, baby? Nurse Billy to the rescue," he murmured, showing Ajay the little jar of chest rub. "Do you want me to put it on for you, or are you more comfortable doing it yourself?"

Autumn was completely in shock when she received the message from Reecy... a photo of a positive pregnancy test, which in itself was scary enough, but from the timing, it had to be Billy's brother who'd done the knocking up bit. Autumn was sure that he couldn't be all bad on some level, because Billy adored him, and Billy was the type of person to tell someone straight away that they were being a jerk if they were. So maybe he wasn't always a jerk, but Autumn wasn't prepared to forgive him for being a jerk to Reecy, and especially not when he'd gone and gotten her pregnant. Which meant he didn't use a condom, which made her think even less of him at the moment.
Reecy's apartment wasn't that far from Autumn's in the grand scheme of things, and she made her way to the apartment pretty quickly, buzzing up to the apartment when she arrived. And as soon as she saw Reecy, standing in the doorway and looking like a heartbroken version of death warmed over, she was immediately running over to give her friend a (very gentle, so as not to get puked on) hug. "Oh, honey," she said softly, shaking her head in concern as her fingers gently rubbed against Reecy's shoulder. "Let's get you to bed to lie down, and then we're gonna talk."

Reecy couldn't believe she was doing this. She had this weird sensation going on inside her, like she was numb and on autopilot, but at the same time, a pile of emotions were hitting her at once. She looked like shit. She knew that. Her hair was raked back in a messy ponytail, she was in daggy old sweat pants with a hoodie that should have been retired years ago but she loved too much to let go. No make-up, red and swollen eyeballs feeling like the were hanging out of her head, and her stomach was still in that constant roiling she couldn't ease. No amount of guzzling Pepto had helped. In fact, it just make her puke even more.
( Her feet make a scuffing sound in their knee-high black Ugg Boots as she shuffled her way through the pharmacy looking for the aisle she had never had to pay any attention to before... )
