Who? Damien Larson and Liam Morgan
What? First date.
When? Monday night
Where? Sailors' Tails, New York City
Damien had been nervous as all hell getting ready for this date. It wasn't as if he hadn't been out on real dates before with guys, but it was the first time that he was going out with a guy that had stuck with him in his mind as much as Liam had. The first time meeting with the eyefucking in the mirror had been awesome, but as far as Damien had been concerned then, it was just a fluke. One of those things that happened. But as things had gone on, there was no doubt in Damien's mind that there was something special about this guy, and that he wanted to know him more. That was why this date was so damn important to him.
Which was why Damien, dressed in a comfortable, but dressy outfit of grey slacks with a deep purple button down top, took Liam to his favorite restaurant, Sailors' Tails, a place where he and Aiden had held many a business meeting, apparently because Aiden and the owner of the restaurant were good friends, and Aiden was his publicist too. It was kind of a small world when you really thought about it, how things all tended to work out together, and connect in some strange sort of way. But that was the last thing on Damien's mind as he settled into the chair across the table from Liam. "It's kind of nice actually seeing you on purpose, and not just because it happened that way," he said with a grin. "I was almost late, thanks to a sick little Scottish-and-Irish boy. Poor Ri came down with something right before I left. He's feeling really yuck." There was no question that Damien was absolutely crazy about Tara and Lachlan's little boy. He'd become very attached to the family... one of them, really.
"Tara had a bit of a laugh at the Monday date night thing, since she and Lachie are both doctors... They know how the schedule goes. But hell, for me, Mondays work out perfectly. because it's after I've played music all weekend, and not falling right in the middle of when I have to play." He gave Liam a warm smile, not quite believing that he was actually on a date with this guy. "Oh, shit," he said, shaking his head. "I'm kinda rambling... You can feel free to tell me to stop talking anytime you want." There was a good-natured grin on his face, and a twinkle in his eye as he looked across the table at Liam. "So I'm gonna stop now. How's things going with med school?"
