Who? Scott Morgan and Maggie Gresham
What? First meetings
Where? A theater on Broadway
When? A couple days after Scott and Damien's meeting
Maggie honestly couldn't believe it. She'd never in a million years dreamed that she would land the starring role in Cinderella on Broadway. In fact, she was honestly stunned she'd even gotten a callback after her first audition. She had nailed it, no doubt after hours and hours and hours of practice, but the other girls auditioning were good... some of them even coming from backgrounds of having Broadway roles under their belts. She definitely had put in the hard yards in school, and in a few off-Broadway productions, but nothing of this magnitude, and trying out had honestly just been a fluke in her head.
Until she scored the role.
She had actually done it, and had to learn the lines and the songs in what seemed like an extremely short amount of time. The understudy would be playing the role until Maggie was ready, but in times like this, she actually found herself questioning if she'd get it down, or make a fool of herself. But a little bit of healthy nervousness was always good. It was motivation, and that was going to be necessary to get her shit together, and quickly.
But today was the day she was going to meet the cast... including her co-star, the very, very well-known Scott Morgan, who was the Prince Charming to her Cinderella onstage... and on whom both she and little sister Rose had openly perved way more than once. She'd honestly been practicing her breathing in her dressing room before rehearsal, because she was nervous and about to sing, yes, but also to keep her from going completely and totally starstruck when she finally met Scott.
"Ms. Gresham, we're ready for you," a stagehand called. "You'll meet the cast before you start practicing. They'll all be waiting for you just offstage." One more deep breath was all Maggie could manage, and she was making her way toward the door of her dressing room to walk out into the midst of the group that she would be sharing the stage with, hopefully for a long time to come.
