Liam was into his tenth hour on shift, and it was evenings like this he was grateful his staple uniform was scrubs and comfortable shoes. He had another two hours to go, and that was if he wasn't asked to work back due to the staff shortage that had plagued the unit for the past week. It was steadily busy, but thankfully for now it wasn't any sort of manic rush that could expectedly hit on the regular in a New York City Emergency Room. He was still a student and there to learn, so he often observed on the serious cases or took a role as an aid like a nurse would, but for now he was stuck on the constant stream of Priority 3 Triages classifications - minor injury and illness.

He was standing at the nurses' station finishing off notes for his last patient, and was just returning the file to the completed pile for Medical Records when another three Priority 3's were slotted into the waiting tray. Pot luck, really. He seemed to have a string on food poisoning, burns, and concussions that day. Maybe a broken foot or a foreign body case might be interesting to shake things up a little, but knowing his luck, probably not. No rest for the wicked and all that.
