Out of his clothes, it was clear to Caleb how skinny Zed had gotten... probably due to the fact that he was struggling to keep anything down with the PEP in his system. Someday, when Zed wasn't feeling so awful, Caleb wanted to look at him... truly take him in and study all of the ink on his body. There was a hell of a lot of it, and Caleb found that he liked it. It wasn't something he ever would've expected of Zoran, but it suited him, and Caleb found that he liked it. It was different, but in a good way. A way that made sense to Caleb from having known Zoran, and now getting to know this other side of him, too. The onesie fit Zoran so loosely that it was clear he hadn't been this skinny when he'd gotten it. It hung loose on him, and Caleb found himself wondering if it made him feel cold... Which he seemed to be as it was anyway. Being skinny as hell, not keeping food down, and losing blood were probably a triple whammy for his body temperature at the moment. Caleb wanted to hold him close and keep him warm, and it certainly looked like Zed could use it, too. Once they were lying beside each other, Caleb found himself tucking the blankets in close around Zed, making sure he was covered and warm to the best of his ability, and wrapping him that much closer in his arms.
Zoran felt even that much thinner when he was finally wrapped in Caleb's arms, but Caleb didn't comment on that directly. It wouldn't exactly be comforting for Zoran, and right now, Caleb just wanted to offer him comfort in any way that he could. His arms wrapped snugly around Zoran's middle, Caleb softly kissed his hair. "That's okay, too. I'll stay here as long as you need me and want me to. You've got a lot on your plate right now. Things I can't even begin to imagine, but I'll listen if you want to talk. And if you don't, we can do this cuddling thing as long as you'd like, too. I know this isn't easy for you. How could it be? And nothing I can say to you is going to make it better. But that doesn't mean I won't still be here with you and talk to you about it... Or we can talk about anything else in the world if you want to be distracted from it, too." With one hand, he moved to stroke Zoran's hair back out of his face, and despite the fact he seemed to feel chilly, he was still hot and feverish to the touch. "Are you allowed to take anything for the fever?" he asked softly as his fingers brushed Zoran's hair. "You really are burning up."
