"I can feel it coming in the air tonight..."

Who: Callum MacDonald with Ethan Marshall
What: Twin Sense
Where: Ethan's place
When: After THIS

Knowing what day it was tomorrow, Callum had struggled to get to sleep. He tried not to toss and turn too much, because Ethan was crashed out and he didn't want to wake him. He got up twice, and then went back to bed. Eventually, he fell into a restless sleep cuddled up into Ethan's side. He was glad that Ethan was okay with physical contact, because it would be completely understandable if he wasn't. The last couple of days, Callum had just stayed close to him and they spent a lot of time just being together and Callum reassuring him he was okay with however Ethan needed to take things. Now and again, he tried sending Casey some texts, but they all went unanswered.

There was one thing Callum and Casey couldn't really explain - the Twin Sense. They had always had it, even from very young. If one cried, the other cried. It didn't matter what was wrong, it was just how it was. The day of the car accident, Callum had been in the middle of a group project for college. He got hit with an overwhelming sense of foreboding and dizziness that he dropped a very expensive camera and smashed it. Then he had just walked out to jump in the car to drive home, because he knew something wrong.

When Callum woke abruptly, it was like he had been ripped from a bad dream and was in the middle of a panic attack. He sat up, trying to catch his breath, but it didn't work. Not to mention the sharp headache that felt like it was slicing through his scalp. Was he sick? Maybe he was having a heart attack? He had felt pretty rotten with the malaria, but this was different. This was very different.

"Cal, you okay?" He had woken Ethan, he sat up in the bed beside him, the blankets pooling around them.

Callum had his fingers hooked into the collar of his t-shirt, trying to stretch it down when it felt like it was strangling him. "I-I can't... I can't..." he tried to explain, but it felt like something was choking him. His other hand clawed at his hair, trying to get his head to stop that awful throbbing. "Something's wrong with Casey. Something's wrong with him!" He pushed the covers back to get up. He wasn't just panicking, he was having a complete panic attack here.

"What?" Ethan queried sleepily, trying to get his abruptly-woken brain to catch up here. "What happened? Did you get a call?" He, too, was getting up; worried about Callum's condition here.

Callum was trying to find his jeans, but the fact he was struggling to breathe had him grabbing hold of the end of the bed and leaning over. "No, I-I... just know. Something's happened. Fuck, I can't breathe--"

Ethan scrambled out of the bed and was at Callum's side in an instant. "Sit down. We'll get help. Sit down, baby. Put your head between your knees. Try to take some deep breaths. In through the nose, out through the mouth," he urged, pushing Callum's head down. He took his hand and felt his pulse at his wrist. It was racing.

"No, you don't get it!" Callum protested, and tried to ignore the directions to sit back up. "Fuck!" he gasped, pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes when the pain in his head was blinding. It felt like the headache he had with malaria. He was pretty sure if he could actually catch his breath and wasn't raggedly wheezing with the shallow breathing he was managing, he might throw up.

"Okay, okay..." Ethan said quickly, concerned. "We'll go to Casey. I'll take you there. It's okay, love. We'll get you there, okay." He didn't know what the hell was happening, but he was scared that from the depth of Callum's panic here, something could really be wrong here.
