I don't think it was entirely isolated to aversion to the option and more to do with the fact he doesn't understand what it is. There's some cognitive deterioration after this latest relapse. He couldn't remember the order of the days of the week when I asked him and there's sensory processing issues. He said he can't identify how different foods taste right now and certain colours make him dizzy if there's a lot of them in one place. Yellows and pale greens, to be exact. Jess said Jace had an anxiety attack in a store with yellow walls the other day.

Exactly why we need to keep monitoring him, to see if this is permanent damage or just his recovery phase. He's been cutting himself shaving too. Jess had to take over to do it for him, so the fine motor skills are affected. He doesn't comprehend that the stimulator could really reduce the severity and frequency of his seizures. It's too scary a prospect for him. Did he say anything about other general functioning? He censors with me when I'm sick because he doesn't want to stress me out.

Speaking of, boss, you're supposed to be resting. How are you feeling? He doesn't seem to have lost basic functioning. Bladder, bowel, sexual functioning all normal. He's dressing himself as normal but still sometimes struggles with buttoning or tying things. His appetite's normal he just can't taste things. There's some vitamin deficiencies so I've added a couple of supplements. He has frequent sharp headaches that seem to be affecting his moods too. Usual for Jace after these types of relapses.

I'm sick as a dog and feel like utter shit. I still need to keep up with Jacey's care, though. Okay, good. I was worrying about that. I think we should give him a few more weeks recovery before we investigate the diminished functioning. There's a slight slur to his speech too, it could be related to the headaches. Jesse said he's had small seizures here and there, around once a week.

Maybe you should be taking a few more weeks recovery yourself, Ev. I've ordered a follow-up MRI for Jace in three weeks. He said he'll keep up with his physical therapy and not overdo it. Could be some good brother bonding for you both.
