Nothing happened. We fell asleep watching Footloose. Like, before the First Act was even through.

Okay. Justin, I just want to tell you that you're young, mate. Very young, and you've been through so much that has affected how you grow and mature. It's okay if you need to tell Will you want a break to experience things with another person. I need you to know that. You put so much pressure on yourself. It's okay to pull back and enjoy the little things a teenager should be experiencing. I'd be failing as a parent if I didn't talk to you about this.

I'm not gonna lie, Dad. That's exactly how I've been feeling since this latest shit with Will. I'm not even going to pretend I haven't been. So, if you're thinking the same thing, maybe it's a valid point.

Where does Sasha factor into all this?

No more than what was planned via Presley... at first. Now, I really want to get to know him more. But I also feel bad because Sunshine's prank was his first kiss. He makes me think about how important the little things are. And he has nice eyes.

Yeah, I did. And you know why? Because he looked me right in the eye every time I spoke. He listened, and he wanted to know more. He went and researched bipolar just so he could understand what it was.

Well, you know he's one of the good ones if Sunshine and Dory both liked him. I have no objections to you wanting more positive and kindhearted people around you, kiddo. I think you need that.

I like helping people, Dad. When I can't even help myself, it's everything to me. And I like meeting other people who help people too. I haven't spoken to Andi yet, his friend with cancer, but I have a feeling none of this was about getting him to sing. I think it's about her wanting to give him some time away to just think about himself, and she thought I could help with that.

You're going to speak to her? From what I heard last night, it sounds like he needs a breather.

I was going to talk to you about that. Maybe you could drive me up to Boston on the weekend? I want to meet her, and he said he'd like me to meet his parents too.

We can shoot for that, sure. Can I call his folks to check it's all okay for them shit weekend?
