You have a brother? My brother-in-law was a shithead.

I do. He's younger than me, and we didn't grow up together. We found out later on when we were grown up. I'm sorry you had a crappy brother-in-law, though, buddy.

Was that hard? Meeting him later and all? He's an evil bastard. Good people get hurt, bad people need to get hurt worse. The Native Americans had the right idea with scalping.

It was hard in a way, only because the whole time I was growing up, I wanted a baby brother so bad, but it never worked out. My stepdad can't have kids. So it was sad to find out that I had the little brother that I had always wanted and had never known him. Was the ex-BIL mean to your sister? I remember you told me one of your sisters had been married at one point.

You know him now and you're making up for lost time? That's nice, though. Family is one of the most important thing. My boyfriend only just met his dad for the first time in a long time. He was around when he was a baby, but then not after that. He beat her. A lot. She was trapped for awhile and thought it would get better, but it didn't. She finally got the cops involved when her kids were at risk.

Yeah, definitely true. I love having him around now. It's really nice. Maybe we didn't get to grow up together, but we're really close now, and it makes my day getting to see him regularly. Wow, that must be an interesting dynamic to get used to for them. Oh, god. I'm really sorry that happened to your sister, but I'm glad she got away. Is she doing okay now?

Is he a lot younger than you? I think it was hard for them both at first. I know it was hard for Fin. He came here in a not very nice way, and he felt like no one was listening to him and he really didn't belong. He's from the country, see. Grew up on a farm his whole life. Yeah, it was awful. She's doing a lot better now, but she has three kids to take care of on her own. But we all help out if we can. Just not me so much. I wish I could do more.

Not a ton younger, but he is younger. His dad's a rock star, and my mom was a groupie. That would be a huge shakeup for someone coming here from the country. I'm glad he's found you. I know that your family's farm is a nice, peaceful place. That's good. Some of the best kids I know were raised by single parents. I'm sure just having a cool uncle who loves them is more help than you realize.

I love being a younger brother. There's always someone who has your back, or wants to kill people who hurt you. Wait, your dad's a rockstar?! Really? That is probably one of the coolest things I've ever heard! Oh, yeah, he loves the farm. His horse is boarded here. He's a born and bred horse guy. Knows how to train them, and he rides in rodeos. It's so cool. My sister's had to train them that Uncle Shannon can't always keep up with and/or play their games anymore.

And I love being an older brother, because I get to be the one wanting to kill people who hurt my little brother. Unfortunately, that's sometimes his sister... I guess possibly OUR sister, but I'm not sure about that. I almost didn't meet him because I met her first and thought that they must just both be dicks. That wasn't fair. Yeah! He is! He's older. His name's Corbyn Bellerose. If you met him now, though, you'd never know he was a rich and famous rocker. He's the nicest, most down to earth guy. Wow. That's really awesome. So you guys have that horse love in common. Do you get to see him ride much? I'm sure they still love Uncle Shannon, though.

She's not really your sister? Does that mean she's not your dad's daughter? Oh my god, he's one of my dad's favourite musicians ever! He looks like you, I can see that now. What does your brother do? Yeah. I mean, I love them from afar now, and he just goes right up and smoosh hugs them. He rides about every time he's out here. Which is awesome, because his ass looks brilliant in a saddle. I hope they do, I'm just a bit of a buzzkill some days. Those are DVD days.

We don't think so. And if she is, we probably still won't claim her because she's really mean and awful. Seriously? It's still really cool to hear that he's people's favorite. He's a really nice person, and it was great meeting him and finding out he's a truly nice person, and not just a well-known one. My brother works at a fashion magazine. He was doing it before, then he left for a while because he was ill, and came back and fell in love with the guy who replaced him. It's pretty cool. He sounds really great. You guys can do fun things together, but have good days watching DVDs together, too. That's really special.

Having a mean and awful sister would be awful. I'm lucky, my sisters are awesome. Oh, yeah. He's one seriously cool dude. I mean, I know he got sick and all, which was really sad. I understand how that side of things feels. Your body is like one big nope, but your brain is still there. Aw, that's so cool. Do you like your brother's husband? I hated my sister's husband. He hit her. Fin's fits me. It's nice having someone who fits you, especially when you weren't sure you would ever fit with someone.
