Meeting them isn't the unexpected part. I was planning to do that, on Thanksgiving. It's just a little sooner than expected.

It is. I don't think it's a bad nervous. Just that I want them to know that I care about him. I don't want to make a bad impression. He needed his family last night, so Jax dropped him off. I was supposed to come to pick him up, but his mom ended up asking me to come and stay with them.

Well, if things aren't so great with him, you probably won't get interrogated. If there's mom intervention, then it's serious.

I think you're right. When she texted me to come over, she told me that she didn't think it was a good time for any of us to be alone. I thought that was really nice of her. She's really been nice to me. His siblings are coming for Sunday lunch.

What has Zed said about it all? From what you've told me, it doesn't sound like he would intentionally blindside you.

He said they won't interrogate me. He's been sleeping since I got here, but you're right. He wouldn't. That's not how he does things.

Maybe he just needed his mom. I've flown all the way to Florida on the spur of the moment when I needed mine.

That's pretty special, dude. He's told me before that he's really close to his family here. I'm glad that he has them.

Yeah, but sometimes, no matter how tough you think you are and dealing with shit, you just need your family when it gets too much.

Yeah. And I know it's been too much for Z lately. In a hell of a lot of ways. Having a family like that... that you can go to when things get hard... sounds really special.
