Zed's song finished, and Caleb was just looking at him for the split second that he was standing there before he'd come over the edge of the stage. He was preparing himself then, because there was so much to say, and when Zed's eyes met his as they stood facing each other, there was a feeling for a moment there that they were going to talk it out then and there. But there was no talk... not a single word. Instead, Zed was kissing him, and it was only a split second before Caleb was wrapping his around the other man's waist, holding him close as he returned the kiss. He didn't care who saw... who was watching. It didn't matter. He wasn't here for anyone else. He was here for Zed. He loved Zed, and it didn't matter what anyone saw or thought about that. He had lived enough of his life in fear of the judgment of others... and he didn't have any intention of losing Zed again because of his fear. He'd made that mistake once... stupidly and painfully costing them both a love that could've carried both of them through things they never dreamed of. They could've been together now... Maybe if they had been, Zed would've have felt so scared and alone that he'd tried to end his own life.

When the kiss broke, Caleb was tucking his head in at Zed's shoulder with soft whispers of, "I love you. Christ, I love you so much." There was so much more that he wanted to say. So many more feelings under the surface that he wanted and needed to tell Zed after all of this time apart, but right now, they could wait. He needed Zed to know that most of all. That he loved him, and he meant it with all his heart. He held tight to Zed before leaning close to kiss him again. "I want to stay with you," he told him softly. "I don't want to walk away again, and I don't care what else happens. I just want to be with you."
