It's been going around for about the last three or four weeks, and trust me, dude, you do not want to deal with it. Although, migraines can be pretty horrific themselves.
I haven't been sick in ages. Last time was probably about six months ago when Rhett, Gabe and me all got food poisoning from bad Chinese. Haven't eaten that shit since. I think it's just a migraine. It all started with his head. He doesn't get them often, but when he does, they're usually intense. There was some spewing though.
Bad Chinese is EVIL. I've totally been there in the past. The spew bug is everything gross all at the same time. You want to die. But again, migraines make you want to die too. I used to get them as a chemo side effect. Did he have a stressful day?
I don't think it's a spew bug. At least, I hope not. How can you tell the difference? Fever or something? Holy shit, you had chemo, dude? You okay now? I think it's been a bit of a stressful first week on the job, but he's enjoying it.
High fever is a definite symptom of it. I had leukaemia when I was a kid, but I went into remission. I'm fine now, but it was a horrible experience. It's why I wanted to go into Oncology. He's got a couple of clients on our ward, and they're already singing his praises. One even said his session didn't feel like therapy and just talking to a friend who listens. This was a patient who had been feeling down and making noises about euthanasia ideation.
No fever, no. Just serious head pain and some puking because the apartment lights were too bright. He can't stand light or noise either, so he's just in a cocoon of covers in bed with the lights off. I was going to drop by to see my best mate because he's having a tough time, but I don't want to leave Gabe now. Jesus, dude. That's intense. Does it help you relate more to your patients? Seriously? I'm so proud of him. I know he has a gift.
He did seriously look like he hardly slept. Kind of pale, reddish eyes. You're a good hubby-to-be. He should keep you. I know all about best mates having tough times. Is he okay? You should be proud of him. Psychology takes a certain sort of person to succeed.
Yes, well... about that. We were kind of up really late last night, so it's probably my fault. I hope he keeps me. He doesn't seem like the runaway bride sort. My mate? He's Kyle Peterson, plays hockey for Boston and his other half was dancing with Angel on his tour. He got injured badly, so it's hard being separated. You're telling me. I don't know how he does it.
