Mark didn't know exactly what part of what Sam said did it - or whether it was all of it - but he suddenly welled up with tears again, putting his hands up over his face to try to stop it. He didn't know how the hell he was supposed to cope with all this at once when he hadn't really been in the best headspace before it. Mark had been missing Gen and struggling with the whole covid thing. He had been case consulting remotely via video link but he hadn't had the same level of work he was used to.
