I think you should, yes. Hell, no. I'd rather you help me take care of business while I'm taking care of your business. Not that I want to presume that's inevitable just because we're having another date. I'm just looking forward to spending more time with you, sans booze this time.
I'm okay if you presume. I hope we can fit that in somewhere on our date. Yes, let's never talk about booze ever again. I haven't been that drunk or hungover in a really long time. I can't believe you've seen me that sick and still want to date me.
Me too :) Can we fit some snuggling in too? Well, the only way is up now, right? We both drank too much. Don't keep beating yourself up. You still want to stay over tonight?
Hell, yes. I'm just as much a fan of the snuggling as anything else. Maybe even more sometimes. Definitely. I'm still cooking you dinner. I've been stressing about what to make. Is there anything you definitely hate?
Count me in. I just want to apologise in advance if I fall asleep in the middle of anything. I'll really try not to but it's been a crazy rotation this time around. But guess what? I spoke to Mark about Justin's tour. I definitely hate veal and lamb. I prefer vegetarian but I don't mind chicken. Not a huge seafood fan.
Don't apologise. If you do, I'll snuggle with you. I know you're a shift worker so don't feel you have to stay switched on when we're together. We have to find a niche. Yeah? You got my email? What did he say? Okay, I'll stick to vegetarian. Lasagne or pasta work?
That sounds so nice, babe. Any ideas what you want to do tomorrow? I did and I gave Mark a call. He said they're switching Justin to peritoneal dialysis, which is done at home overnight. But they'll need a nurse to tend to it all if the tour goes ahead. Especially before and after he performs, to make sure the abdo port's all still in place and not getting infected. Mark said if I can swing taking leave from work, I've got the job. I've worked with renal patients overseas, it's no big deal for me. Lasagne or pasta sounds perfect.
Maybe go for a drive somewhere peaceful and quiet. Chillout and relax away from the city for a bit. Wow, that's fantastic. Can you swing the time from work? It's a big commitment. I have no idea what peritoneal dialysis is. It sounds scary.
Sounds perfect. Other than our date, I can't remember the last time I chilled out and relaxed. I can, I just need to request unpaid leave. I can work as a contract nurse anywhere, which is what I'll be doing for Justin. It's dialysis through a port in his belly. It's much more conducive to active lifestyles and removes the need to go to the hospital for treatment. It'll be all over much better for his mental and emotional health. It runs while he sleeps at night.
Well, now I just have to ensure you do, don't I? And you can do all he needs to still go on tour? That's pretty freaking awesome. I'm just realising I have no idea what specific qualifications or specializations you have. I know you work all around the hospital, days and nights. Is there any sort of nursing you like doing the most?
