I can be his friend, too... I think all of us can and will, really. Everybody does stupid shit sometimes. It doesn't mean they don't need another chance.

Yeah, it's complicated. Something really bad happened to him. He was dealing with a lot back then too. I just judged him too quickly.

What happened to him? I mean, I understand that dealing with a lot is hard, but he was also really awful to you. It would be hard not to judge.

Someone hurt him in a bad way. Someone who should have been taking care of him. Judgement usually means you think you know the full story. I didn't. Not even close.

Oh, no. :( Like... Like Justin? I think it's hard not to let your judgey side kick in when people are being rude to you, but it's harder to open yourself up to understanding their whole story.

Sort of. Just less obvious, I guess. Not even Brody realised how wrong it was. The only reason he was rude was because he was scared and lost. He felt like he had to keep living up to that one win, and if he didn't, everyone would hate him.

That's really awful. I hate people who take advantage of young people that way... in any way, really. Poor guy. We've gotta invite him to hang out more, now that we know he wasn't just being a dick.

And he caught something gross. He had to stay in hospital a couple of nights. No, I think he was just really confused and hurting. I mean, sometimes people are accidentally dicks when they're dealing with hard stuff.
