When your child has been through hell, there's nothing quite as rewarding as seeing them smile and respond to love and kindness. Couldn't have handpicked a better man to share the parenting of our little munchkin with than Quentin. I've learned more in the process of loving these two than I ever imagined possible. They both make me a better human being.

You survived the ordeal, then.

Yeah, kind of. Once you know your kid, you know what's best for them. Things will always happen where you need to stop and think, though.

We've adopted him. Everything was fast-tracked. It's okay. Far from perfect. Taking in a child that isn't yours is never just going to be perfect. It has to grown and adjust.

At least you're not saying I want to be the world's best ever dad. I hear that from some tossers, and I'm like "Really, this is all about you, huh?"

Special circumstances. His mother and grandmother were both killed in a fatal car crash, she had no other close relatives. Not religious, so there were no godparents either. Poor little guy was in the car when it happened. Daisy adores him. She kind of just watches him when he cries, and then just goes and hugs him. That's my baby girl's thing. She's a hugger. She rubs her cheek against his too. Toddler language.

How's things with you and Quentin?
