That sounds pretty craptacular. Do you want company? And maybe some meds and chicken soup? My sister says chicken soup is the best when you're sick.

No. But I never miss a day, so if I do just this once, it will be okay. And if I don't, I can come over after school.

No, I don't want your sister to kill me.

She won't kill you if I ask her first. I won't just do it without telling her what's going on. You took care of me when I was upset. I know you have your brother, but I can help you, too, since you're sick.

Nope. I have a cold, I'm not dying.

Okay. Can I at least come over after school and check in on you?

I have rehearsal. I won't be done until after 7.

Can you rehearse when your head is full of snot? I would think that would make breathing kind of hard. I can come by then, though. I mean, if you don't mind. I don't want to be all, "YOU HAVE TO SEE ME!" if you don't feel like it.

Yeah, sure. That's cool. We'll all be home, but there's no big deal there.
