Jesse was watching Jace, still wondering how the hell he got so lucky to randomly meet him out of the blue, right when they both had been wondering if love was just to complicated to want. Trying to find it had been messy for both of them, until they met each other and it wasn't messy at all. It just worked, and it didn't even matter why. "I've never felt more right in my whole life than I do today. I never knew I could feel this right." Marriage was a big deal, and standing there, surrounded by so many amazing people who were happy for them, Jesse didn't have a single regret walking away from his family who would never be able to accept who he was and who he loved. Fuck them all. He had the most amazing husband in the world. He could be open and free here. He didn't have to hide his love, nor did he ever want to again.

Jesse sometimes wondered if part of the reason he and Jace were soul mates was because he had the abilities Jace didn't. Jesse had a very academic mind, and his memory was only patchy in the wake of a fit while he recovered from it. It meant he had the ability to care for Jace unconditionally. They had found a routine together that helped Jace a lot, took the onus off him to get upset and frustrated when his brain wasn't working like normal. There was another soft kiss as they slow danced. "I think I foresee a whole lot of naked in our near future, darlin'."
